ANOMALY POET Recipe for Grandma's Easy Spicy Vegetable Soup!!!

Grandma's Easy Spicy Vegetable Soup Written by Marilynn Bell aka Anomaly Poet 2    quarts of water 1    tablespoon of cooking oil 3/4 cup of dry elbow or shell macaroni ---------------------- 1    32 ounce can or bottle of tomato juice ---------------------- 2    lbs of frozen mixed vegetables      OR 3 - 15 oz cans of mixed vegetables (2 cans drained) ---------------------- 1    lb of chili con carne (refrigerated section)      OR 1 - 15 oz. can of chili w/ no beans ----------------------      OR for less spicy - substitute 1 lb. of stew meat or chopped chicken breast ---------------------- (1 large 6-8 quart pan, can opener, strainer, large spoon/ladle) In large pan, bring water to boil. Add cooking oil and stir in dry elbow or shell macaroni. Boil until just tender. Drain off all water and put back into pan. Add tomato juice, mixed vegetables and chili. Stir well. Bring to a boil stirring occasionally. Turn down heat and simmer for 20 minutes. This is great served with crackers or hot buttered rolls.
