Imagine or remember the days
of youth playing on a farm.
How fun it was to play in the barn
and jump from the loft to fresh
thrashed hay below!
That was truly time spent
with friendly company.

FALLING WITH FRIENDLY COMPANY
The thought of falling can be frightening.
Knowing for a short while,
you will be in between
Not here, but not there either.
Sometimes, even when you know you will land
in one piece, with exception of a few
bruises and a wounded ego;
you hold on trying not to fall.
You know eventually you will lose strength
and have to let go.
You still try to hold on.
Your grip slowly slips,
then the fall.
Safe or injured?
Depends upon how far
or hard the fall.
Falls are gentler when you fall
with company.
Landing is more fun when you land
with company.
I am afraid of falling alone.
Rather hold on
than fall alone.
Best to fall with friendly company.
A hand to pull you up,
A heart to care whether you are fine.
Landing in love is gentler with friendly company.
